The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced the new timings of its different services during the upcoming Eid Al Adha holidays.

Parking will still need to be paid for at the Fish Market and the Multi-level parking, Dubai Media Office tweeted on Tuesday.

Extra buses and taxis will also be operating from malls next week to cope with the influx of visitors from September 11 to 17.

Maitha Bin Adai, chief executive of the RTA’s Traffic and Roads Agency, said the move aimed to improve traffic flow during the holiday.

“In case of higher demand for taxicabs in Dubai Mall, a bus route will be activated to lift riders to Deira City Centre Metro Station, BurJuman Station where more taxis will be available at those locations,” she said.

Starting from Sunday (Sept. 11) all paid parking zones in the emirate will be free of charge except for the parking lots of the Fish Market and the Multi-level Parking terminal; and fees will be activated on the Saturday (Sept. 17).”

“On Thursday (Sept. 8) the stations on the Red Line of Dubai Metro will start service at 05:30 am (Express Metro Service) and continue up to 02:00 am (on the following day).

The Green Line will start service at 05:50 am and continue up to 02:00 am (on the following day).

While on Friday (Sept. 9), both the Red and Green Lines will start service from 10:00 am up to 2:00 am (on the following day).

The Red Line will begin service on Saturday from 05:30 am up to 2:00 am (on the following day).

From Sunday  to Tuesday, it will begin at  05:50 am up to 02:00 am (on the following day), and on Wednesday  the service will start from 5:30 am to 1:00 am (on the following day).

From Sept. 10 to Sept.13, the Green Line will be in service from 05:50 am up to 02:00 am (on the following day).

On Sept. 14th, the Green Line will start service at 05:50 am and continue up to 01:00 am (on the following day).

“On Sept. 9, the Dubai Tram will be operational from 09:00 am up to 01:00 am (on the following day), and from Sept.10 to Sept. 13th it will be operating from 06:30 am up to 01:00 am (on the following day).

“Service hours of Dubai Bus from Sept 10 to Sept 12 will be as follows:

Main Bus Stations such at Gold Souk, the service will start at 05.20 am and end at 12:00 am (midnight), and at Al Ghubaiba from 05.00 am to 12:00 (midnight).

At subsidiary stations, buses will operate at Al Qusais, Satwa from 05:00 am to 12:00 (midnight), and Route C01 will be in operation around-the-clock.

At Al Quoz Industrial Station, buses will operate from 05:30 am to 11.30 pm, and at Jebel Ali Station from 06:00 am to 10:15 pm.

“The Metro Stations Feeder Bus Service at Al Rashidiya, Mall of the Emirates, Ibn Battuta Mall, Abu Hail, Etisalat, and Dubai Mall-Burj Khalifa stations will operate from 05:15 am to 02:10 am (of the following day).

Intercity Buses will be in service as follows:

At Main Stations the service will be running around-the-clock to Jubail, Sharjah, while Abu Dhabi-bound service will be from 05:00 am to 12:50 am (past midnight).

Subsidiary Stations such as Union Square will be operating from 05:00 am up to 12:30 am (past midnight).

At Al Sabkha Station, intercity bus service will operate from 06:30 am to 12:00 am (midnight),; and at Deira City Centre Station the service will be from 06:55 am up to 10:00 pm and at Al Karama Station from 06:10 am up to 10:15 pm; Al Ahli Club Station from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm.

As for external stations, Al Taawon (Sharjah), the service will run from 07:00 am up to 10:30 pm; Al Fujairah Station will be in service from 06:45 am to 10:30 pm;Ajman Station will offer service from 06:00 am to 11:30 pm; and Hatta Station will be operating from 06:30 am up to 10:40 pm.

Explaining the timing of the marine transit modes, the Director of Marketing & Corporate Communication, said, “The Water Bus will be operating at Marina stations (Marina Mall, Marina Walk, Marina Terrace and Marina Promenade) from Saturday to Thursday (Sept. 10 to 15) from 10:00 am to 11:00 pm.

On Friday and public holidays from 12:00 pm up to 12:00 am (midnight).

“The daily business hours of the Water Taxi service will be from 9am to 10pm. At Al Ghubaiba Station, the service will run from 10:00 am to 06:00 pm, Dubai Marina Station from 02:00 pm to 10:00 pm, The Palm Jumeirah (Atlantis) from 11:00 am to 07:00 pm, and The Palm Jumeirah (Rexos) from 11:00 am to 07:00 pm.

“The Blue Abra (Electric Abra) will be operating at Burj Khalifa area from 06:00 pm to 11:30 pm, and at Al Mamzar from 02:00 pm to 12:00 am (midnight). Atlantis Abra will operate from 01:00 pm to 09:00 pm, and the air-condition abra at Al Jaddaf, Dubai Festival City will operate from 07:00 am to 12:00 pm.

The traditional abra at Dubai Creek (Al Ghubaiba, Al Sabkha, Baniyas, and Dubai Old Souk) will offer service from Sept. 10 to Sept.15 from 07:00 am to 10:00 pm, and on Friday and public holidays from 10:00 am to 12:00 am (midnight).

“Dubai Ferry will offer scheduled daily services off Al Ghubaiba and Marina Mall Stations starting at 11.00 am, 01:00 pm, 03:00 pm, 05:00 pm and 06:30 pm.

“As for the working hours of service providers, all centres of partners and service providers will be closed during during Eid Al Adha holiday starting from Sept. 11 to Sept. 13, and they will be back in service on Sept.14,” added Moaza.
