World Rafting Championship 2016

The 2016 R4 World Rafting Championship will be held at the artificial course – the Wadi Adventures in Al Ain, UAE.

The International Rafting Federation (IRF) have teamed up with Wadi Adventures to ensure a world class event can be held in this new and interesting location.

The IRF is in the forefront of raft safety worldwide. Through the variety of courses and certifications, they can ensure a global standard of guides while continually evolving raft techniques to keep everyone safer.

Wadi Adventures is steadily becoming known as a great place for slalom paddlers to train during the the winter. Warm weather, easy logistics and central to most of the world makes it a very suitable location. It not only has two runs, but also a variety of other activities, with the accommodation and restaurants right next to it.

It is located at the base of Jebel Hafeet Mountains near the grassy fields of the Green Mubazzarah Park and Hot Springs and boasts the following:

There is easy access through Dubai or Abu Dhabi and then a 2 hr drive to this beautiful location in the desert.
