The Formula World Championship will be hosting the final race of the twelfth edition in Abu Dhabi. As expected, in 2020 Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix will be returning to the iconic Yas Marina Circuit, and could potentially decide the prestigious F1 driver’s championship title once again. This year’s race weekend welcomes the sport’s international stars, including Lewis Hamilton, Charles Leclerc, Max Verstappen and Valtteri Bottas.
Taking place during four full days, the race is the Middle East’s biggest international sporting event and the only twilight race on the F1 calendar. Offering four days of entertainment, F1 ticket holders have access to Yas Island Parks featuring Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Yas Waterworld & Warner Bros. World™. Each After-race event is open exclusively to Abu Dhabi F1 ticket holders and will be announced later.
It was confirmed that due to the COVID-19, the season finale will be taking place behind closed doors (bio-secure bubble conditions), it will ensure the drivers, teams and viewers’ safety and health. Practice and qualifying will take place on Friday 11 and Saturday 12 December and race day is set to Sunday 13 December. Race timings are subject to change and will be confirmed a few weeks before the race.
Update: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the race in the UAE will be held behind closed doors with no fans in attendance. The details of broadcast information will be provided.
