Camel racing in Dubai

Camel racing will be held on 3rd and 4th of February, 2017 at the Al Marmoum Camel Racetrack in Dubai.

This is a spectacular sport and a trip to the races can be one of the most memorable highlights of a visit of UAE.

Camel racing is a popular sport in United Arab Emirates, and also in Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Egypt, Bahrain, Jordan, Qatar, Oman, Australia, and Mongolia.
Professional camel racing, like horse racing, is an event for betting and tourist attraction.
Camels can run at speeds up to 65 km/h (18 m/s; 40 mph) in short sprints and they can maintain a speed of 40 km/h (11 m/s; 25 mph) for an hour.
