Al Marmoom Dune Run is the first edition of a new sports event challenging run lovers on a 5km course that will take them across the dunes and around the lakes on hard and soft sand in the Conservation Reserve.
The Dune Run is open to all residents and visitors, aged 15 and above, and they can register in one of four categories – Elite 5km for male and female, and Open 5km for male and female depending on the level of preparation.
All registered participants have an opportunity to take free of charge practical sessions to know the terrain and share experiences and training tips with other participants.
The FREE practice sessions will take place bi-weekly on Friday mornings on:
• September 26,
• October 9,
• October 23,
• October 30.
Being held under the umbrella of Dubai Sports Council, the Al Marmoom Dune Run offers participants to experience the beauty of the eco desert and to train endurance. Participants will receive finisher medals and the top three in each category (male and female) will collect trophies.
