The Cultural Foundation is proud to present a series of workshops with Saggaf Al Hashmi, who will teach basic techniques of portrait painting and encourage artistic growth. Through the painting classes with a professional artist, painting fans are given a chance to develop their skills with an introduction to drawing tools and the basics of constructing proportions on canvas.
For these masterclasses, participants need to have:
– canvas paper;
– charcoal pencils (hard and soft);
– white pencils;
– color pastels (round) in black and brown;
– a soft brush and acrylic colors set.
During these online workshops, participants will learn how to sketch, draw and paint portraits like a pro, with master portrait artist Saggaf Al Hashmi, who is a self-taught artist. His artworks are mainly inspired by UAE’s distinguished symbols, history, and traditions. Saggaf’s art pieces have been exhibited in many local art exhibitions – ADIHEX, Abu Dhabi University, Emirati Expressions, etc.
