Noon Art Award 2020

Sharjah Ladies Club announces the 4th edition of the Noon Art Award 2020, which receives submissions till October 1.

SLC will provide this prestigious Noon Art Award, where UAE-based female artists will be able to showcase their art pieces and win a prize of AED 7,000 for the first place. This year, the online contest will be carried out under the theme”Because I Can” in view of the hard challenges the global community has gone after the COVID-19 breakout.

Also, the final exhibition will be held online, so even more people can see the artworks which are reflections of the positive impact through supporting, inspiring experiences or overcoming obstacles and challenges people face every day. The virtual exhibition will allow people from across the region to make contributions, so 40% of the proceeds from the sale of the artworks will go to Noon Gallery.

Noon Art Award 2020 Contest’s Regulations:

• submissions will be accepted until October 1 (consisted of application, digital files, one image),
• open to all women artists based in the UAE and aged 18,
• participating artworks must be new and authentic, with a unique title and description for each image,
• participating categories include painting, photography, digital art,
• all images must be in high-resolution JPEG or Tiff formats – 300 dpi (be no less than 2 MB in size); height should not exceed 1.8 m and width should not exceed 3 m.

As SLC confirmed, the first-place winner will receive a prize of AED 7,000, with second place earning AED 5,000 and third place being awarded AED3,000. There was added special “People’s Choice” category, with the winning artist receiving a prize of AED 2,000.
