Ajman Data Visualization Challenge

Ajman Government announces an online Ajman Data Visualization Challenge for talented designers, artists, and photographers.

Ajman Data Visualization Challenge is a competition dedicated to people with creative visualization minds and skills who can create stories and speak about Ajman using its current available 550+ open data sets.

In the context of data visualization, there are many artists able to apply their visualization research skills-set & techniques to make the data to be an original visual art piece. The main purpose of this challenge is to encourage and target a wider range of audiences from students, researchers, data scientists and artists.

All submissions will be evaluated by a jury of experts against the following criteria – Clarity, Storytelling, Aesthetics, Originality, Inspiration, Dataset with a score from 1 to 5 for each point.

Ajman Data Visualization Challenge Rules:

• Submissions are accepted from all people around the world;
• Participants should convert Ajman open dataset into visual art such as interactive infographic, graphic images, motion graphics or video;
• Participants can take a challenge individually or in groups;
• All web-based visualization must operate in such browsers as Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox;
• Visual art project should be submitted in high resolution and in Arabic or English;
• Participants can submit 2 entries;
• The deadline for submission of entries is on 1 December 2020.

The prizes:
1o prizes – AED 1,000/ per submission (the weekly prize money)
Awarded submissions will be also posted on the website with the winner’s name and social media contacts for 1 year.
