Earth Hour is a worldwide movement for the planet organized by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF).
Every year, hundreds of millions of people around the world switch off their lights for one designated hour to demonstrate a commitment to fighting climate change.
This year, Earth Hour takes place at 8:30 p.m. local time on March 25.
The UAE celebrates Earth Hour every year since 2008, with all seven emirates involved.
During this years the event is held under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and under the patronage of Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council.

Celebrate Earth Hour with Abu Dhabi Municipality on Al Bateen Beach organised a candle walk.
Three-hour event will take place also at Yas Mall and another event will be held at Saadiyat Beach Golf Club with featuring food truck stations, games, activities, glow sticks.

Dubai was the first Arab City to celebrate Earth Hour in 2008.
Electricity and Water Authority invite to join the family-fun festival at Bay Avenue Park in Business Bay and witness Burj Khalifa turn off its dazzling lights for one hour and participate in Earth Hour’s Walk.
If you are in Sharjah
Join Earth Hour with a festival on Al Majaz Waterfront in Sharjah where Sharjah Environment and Protected Areas Authority (EPAA), in collaboration with Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority (Sewa) will dedicate different activities for children which will include workshops, themed wall graphic, selfies, competitions and other.
