The musical will bring a vibrant celebration of the glamour of Bollywood. The spectacle will feature some of the songs of Bollywood icon A.R. Rahman, the man behind some of the most stunning movie soundtracks ever composed, including the seven Oscar-winning Slumdog Millionaire, for seven stunning performances, including two matinees and five evening shows.
Taj Express is inspired by the world famous Indian film industry and tells the Bollywood story of one man’s passion and another man’s genius. This dynamic production is choreographed by Vaibhavi Merchant and directed by Shruti Merchant. With the title track composed by Salim Merchant and Sulaiman Merchant and featuring the biggest blockbuster hits from Bollywood including music by Monty Sharma, Abhijit Vaghan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali, this is a show not to be missed.
Taj Express follows the story of one man’s passion and another man’s genius. Young composer Shankar struggles with his music, and it’s only when he begins to follow in the footsteps of his idol, that he discovers his path to success.
With a cast of multi-talented performers, Taj Express is an uplifting show full of colour, high-energy music and sensational dance scenes choreographed by one of Bollywood’s top young choreographers, Vaibhavi Merchant and directed by Shruti Merchant.
