The World’s Tallest Skyscraper Hanged from Orbiting Asteroid will be Constructed in Dubai - Coming Soon in UAE

The New York company Clouds Architecture Office has proposed to construct a hovering tower hanged from orbiting asteroid in Dubai.

Analemma would be the world’s tallest tower and only way to leave it would be by parachute.

The proposal calls for Analemma to be constructed over Dubai, which has proven to be a specialist in tall building construction at one fifth the cost of New York City construction.

Analemma inverts the traditional diagram of an earth-based foundation, instead depending on a space-based supporting foundation from which the tower is suspended. This system is referred to as the Universal Orbital Support System (UOSS). By placing a large asteroid into orbit over earth, a high strength cable can be lowered towards the surface of earth from which a super tall tower can be suspended. Since this new tower typology is suspended in the air, it can be constructed anywhere in the world and transported to its final location.

Views out from various heights along the tower calibrated to the 24-hour orbital cycle. The size and shape of windows changes with height to account for pressure and temperature differentials.

The specialists say that the asteroid could be manipulated from which the building would hang. The asteroid itself would be 50,000 km above earth.

The Analemma tower would include many sections – sleeping quarters, business floors, a gardening and agriculture centre, transfer stations to bring goods to and from earth, and of course dining, shopping and entertainment areas.

According to official website, NASA has scheduled an asteroid retrieval mission for 2021 which aims to prove the feasibility of capturing and relocating an asteroid.
