Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome one of the biggest musical performances Dubai has ever seen – West Side Story.
Tickets have just gone on sale for the show, which will take place at the Dubai Opera early next year – just in time for Valentine’s Day.
The multiple Tony award-winning show, has captured the hearts of fans from around the globe for half a century. Based on the tragic love story of Romeo and Juliet, the West Side Story is a musical set in Upper West Side, New York City and explores the animosity between two rival gangs; the Jets and the Sharks.
With an impressive cast of 36 performers and a total of 80 participants, Joey McKneely’s award-winning staging will be taking to the road, bringing with it Jerome Robbins’ original choreography, which remains as visually stunning and integral to the storyline as when it first graced the stage almost 60 years ago.
