Verdi’s Aida

A timeless piece by Verdi, Aida, will be performed by the Russian State Opera on February 9 and 10, 2021 at the Dubai Opera.

The brand-new production of Aida promises a love story that will keep the audience on the edge of their seats until the very end. The show tells the story of a princess of Ethiopia (Aida) who falls in love with the Egyptian General (Radames)who is also besotted by her.  Radames is chosen to lead the war with Ethiopia by the king and Aida is left to choose between her lover or her father and her country.

Feature of Verdi’s Aida:

• An impressive cast and accompanied by a live Orchestra;
• Music by Giuseppe Verdi sung in Italian with English subtitles;
• One of the most famous arias, ‘Se quel Guerrier io fossi!’ sung by Radames in the first act;
• ‘Triumphal March’, a powerful melody that highlights victory and triumph.
