Painting Classes at the JamJar Community Arts Space

Every Saturday, TheJamJar studio is hosting painting classes in different techniques for people, who interested in learning art.

TheJamJar offers weekly Acrylic, Illustration, and Oil Techniques classes, that are suitable for teenagers and adults. These classes will help to learn blending, shading, texturing, color theory and composition. The instructor will guide everyone to paint a series of different scenes and objects while exploring time and space.

Acrylic Techniques Classes
• June, 27 – 12:30 PM – 02:30 PM: Earth from above
• July, 4 – 12:30 PM – 02:30 PM: O’keefe’s Flowers of Fire
• July, 11 – 12:30 PM – 02:30 PM: Hourglass
• July, 18 – 12:30 PM – 02:30 PM: Water Lilies
• July, 25 – 12:30 PM – 02:30 PM: Sea of Alsen

During these classes, students will use photographic references to create illustrations of beautiful landscapes. The main focus will be put on blending and glazing to perfection, along with the wet-on-wet technique.

Watercolor Techniques Classes
• June, 27 – 03:00 PM – 05:00 PM: Sunset Silhouette
• July, 4 – 03:00 PM – 05:00 PM: Lighthouse by the beach

Figure Drawing Workshop
• June, 27 – 03:00 PM – 06:00 PM

This class is only for adults aged 16+. For this workshop, you’ll need to bring sketchbooks and drawing materials for an authentic figure drawing session aimed at sharpening the observational painting skills in the presence of a live model.

TheJamJar draws attendees’ attention, that due to the spread of Covid-19, there will be a restricted amount of visitors at a time. Only 30 people at a time are possible. So, make sure to book a place to visit the class. The whole class list is available here.
