Swan Lake at Dubai Opera

Dubai Opera, in partnership with M Premiere, proudly presents the return of one of ballet’s most beloved masterpieces: Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake. More than a century after its premiere, Swan Lake continues to enchant audiences with its sweeping score and haunting tale of love, betrayal, and transformation.

The story of Prince Siegfried and the Swan Princess Odette remains one of the most moving and visually arresting in classical ballet. Originally debuted in 1877, the ballet found enduring fame through the choreography of Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov.

This acclaimed production, performed by the Hungarian National Ballet and the Hungarian National Opera Orchestra, honors that tradition with thoughtful revisions by Rudi van Dantzig and Toer van Schayk.

At its center is the ballerina’s dual role as Odette and Odile—two characters as different in spirit as they are in style, making it one of the most demanding and celebrated roles in the art form.

Following a sold-out 2023 engagement at Dubai Opera that drew over 8,000 guests, Swan Lake returns for six unmissable performances in the 2025–2026 season.
