Short+Sweet Dance is a festival of 10-minute dance pieces which provide a platform for independent choreographers, dancers and companies to grow and express.
The aim of the festival is to foster the arts within communities and showcase emerging and established talents by providing them with a platform to perform. This approach not only provides the professional administrative and technical support necessary but also community collaboration and mentoring.
Satyen Babla, the founder of Dan’s dance academy will act as festival director. An instructor and choreographer, Satyen has taught and personally trained more than 5,000 people for shows, performances and weddings in Dubai and around the world.
Dancers of all ages, ability and styles can participate in the festival. The audience and a panel of esteemed judges will then vote on the best routines, which will go through to the Gala Final.
