Sharjah Biennial 14: Leaving the Echo Chamber

Contemporary art cultural event Sharjah Biennial 14: Leaving the Echo Chamber will be held from March 7 to June 10 across Sharjah.

Sharjah Biennial 14, organized by Sharjah Art Foundation, fosters international artistic exchange and dialogue through exhibitions and experimentation. Works by nearly 90 artists, including over 60 new commissions and many never-before-seen works, will be on view across the city’s arts and heritage areas as well as other spaces around the emirate of Sharjah. The Biennale program also contains a variety of events, including screenings of films and educational programs for all ages.

Sharjah Biennial 14: Leaving the Echo Chamber, according to its name, will explore the possibilities and purpose of producing art when the news is fed by a monopoly of sources, history is increasingly fictionalized, and borders and beliefs are dictated by cultural, social, and political systems.
