RAK NYE with Majid Al Mohandis & Balqees

Majid Al Mohandis and Balqees will be performing on New year’s night at the Al Hamra International Exhibition and Conference Center.

The Arab celebrities are set to ring in the new years along with the spectacle of a big firework display just for this occasion.

Majid Almohandis studied engineering and the first instrument he bought for himself was the quintessential Arabic instrument, Oud. He is known for being humble and appreciative towards his fans.  What sets him apart from many modern Arabic singers is that he has allowed his music to be his main image. Daughter of the well-known Yemeni musician Ahmed Fathi, Balqees had her breakthrough with her first song “Masaa’la Sahla” in collaboration with HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Al Maktoum and the artist Fayez Al-Saeed.  Her 2015 album “Zay ma ana” became the highest-selling and most downloaded album on iTunes in the Middle East, winning her the title “Best of 2015” Arabic singer in the Middle East by Apple Music.
