This year, UAE will have a chance to observe a partial solar eclipse in which the moon does not completely hide the solar surface. During this space event, the Moon, the Sun and Earth don’t align in a perfectly straight line, so it doesn’t get as dark outside as it does during a total eclipse. The Middle East citizens will witness an event that is not quite as grand but is still impressive with its uniqueness.
Sharjah Academy of Astronomy, Space Sciences and Technology, or SAASST, is a scientific, educational, and cultural Center, which was established as a national development project to contribute to the space sector developments in the UAE. SAASST often provides different lectures, workshops and observatory days for people who interested in space and the latest technologies.
