Othello — first play at the Dubai Opera

One of the most famous and revered plays in the world – Othello will get a new breath on the stage of the Dubai Opera. Performances will be held from January 29 to February 2.

An extra date of January 30 has been added due to popular demand. Now two evening performances of 8 are available on January 30 and 31 and matinee play on Friday and Saturday. An additional fifth performance will be given on January 29, but ticket sales are available exclusively for schools.

This performance of the play about love and jealousy, a masterful depiction of a life torn apart by prejudice, written by William Shakespeare, and now Othello is the first play to be presented at the Dubai Opera stage.

Following a critically acclaimed tour and London run, production of Othello directed by Richard Twyman is brought to the Dubai Opera stage by UK Theatre Award winners English Touring Theatre in a co-production with Oxford Playhouse and Shakespeare at the Tobacco Factory.
