In 2016 the most famous Ukrainian rock band Okean Elzy has started for a 2-year-long World tour for supporting their ninth album ‘Without limits’. Their performance in Dubai will be on Saturday November 12, in the Music Hall Dubai.
Okean Elzy – translated as Elza’s Ocean – have been rocking for more than 20 years, and are a huge band in their native Ukraine. In 2014 they played a sold out gig to over 70,000 people in Kyiv at the NSC Olimpiyskiy, and have toured across the region for the last decade.
The 5 piece band ‘express themselves through in depth lyrics, a unique musical style, and an impressive on-stage drive and energy’, playing a beguiling mix of Ukrainian poetry, Slavic melodies mixed with a powerful European sound.
The new album was released on the 19th of May 2016. The geography of the listeners spread across the globe without limits indeed: citizens of India and the USA, Ukraine and Israel, Afghanistan, Serbia, Germany, the UK, Russia, Georgia, Spain, Armenia, Turkey, Canada, Australia and of other countries left their comments with location in the chat of the live stream.
The World tour has started in Ukraine with an open concert in Mariupil, followed by seven stadium concerts in the biggest cities of the country.
