Iraqi Naseer Shamma is a composer, who is widely considered one of the best oud players in the world. He will be playing his own compositions that he has written especially for this concert in this time of crisis. He will be joined by other Bait Al Oud musicians: Sherine Tohamy, Nejma Al Kour, Yamen Yasser AlAwar, and Ahmed Shamma.
Naseer is a founder of the Bait Al Oud, the Oud school he founded 10 years ago in Abu Dhabi. He also was positioned as the director of one of the most important Arabic music institutes – the Arab house of the oud in Cairo. Naseer Shamma has highly appreciated also due to his decisiveness at developing a method that allows disabled and war-injured children or soldiers to play the oud with only one hand.
