Movie Music Gala is expecting to represent everyone’s favorite film tunes, from the classics to contemporary. NSO Symphony Orchestra is celebrating their 10th anniversary and bringing an array of spectacular film scores to life. The soundtracks will include:
- the iconic Star Wars title theme;
- the swashbuckling Pirates of the Caribbean;
- heart-warming Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7;
- 2nd mov’t from The King’s Speech;
- Carl Orff’s epic O;
- Fortuna from Carmina Burana;
- the powerful Gladiator title theme;
- Apollo 13, and many more.
A special guest, Emirati pianist and composer Hamad Altaee, will perform one of his pieces, Journey of Victory, accompanied by NSO.
NSO Symphony Orchestra is a UAE-based orchestra conducted by NSO Music Director Andrew Berryman. It has gathered more than 100 musicians of some 20 nationalities, who live in six of the seven emirates. NSO Symphony Orchestra performs major symphonic and operatic works, as well as more popular forms, ranging from film scores to musical theatre.
