From theatre to poetry and storytelling, here are the live performances to watch from home from 12-16 April on Instagram.
The line up for Live from HQ sessions consists of UAE based artists, who are engaged in art performance, theatre and storytelling. Here is a schedule of all performances offered by HQ sessions:
• 12 April, Sunday
07:30 PM – a dramatic reading of 3 female poets by Malavika Varadhan.
07:45 PM – Seema Kunder will bring monologue “That Damn Duck” by Cerise de Gelder.
07:55 PM – Zainab Mashoor will be reciting her original poems.
08:05 PM – Stephane Brismontier will perform monologue in French from “Qui A Peur De Virginia Woolf?”
• 13 April, Monday
07:30 PM – Dhruti Shah will reveal the old art of storytelling.
07:40 PM – a story about escaping a prison narrated by Xolisile Dolo.
07:50 PM – Meghna Srikumar will perform a monologue “The Dream Girl”.
08:00 PM – Audrey Jegu will perform a piece from the French version of monologue “Qui A Peur De Virginia Woolf?” (“Who is Afraid of Virginia Woolf?”).
• 14 April, Tuesday
07:30 PM – Lydia Medeiros will take you back to the old classics, performing four Shakespeare monologues.
07:45 PM – Mohamed El Sawi will recite his original poems in Arabic.
08:00 PM – Purva Grover will teach how to write your own stories and find inspiration for them, representing some reading from different authors’ books.
• 15 April, Wednesday
07:30 PM – Monica Chatterjee will perform her Short+Sweet Gala finale monologue “Is This Okay?” written by Arzoo Malhotra – a story of struggling life of glamour and flashes that take a young lady down a dark and twisted path.
07:40 PM – Gaggan Mudgal will represent his own poetry and storytelling session in Hindi.
07:50 PM – different stories in Hindi by Hansraj Shetty.
08:05 PM – Ujjwala Joshi will perform a Marathi monologue – a letter, an expression of feelings towards her dead husband – Sunitabai.
• 16 April, Thursday
07:30 PM – Aradhita Basu will perform “Checkmate” monologue by Cerise de Gelder – a story about a harmless addiction, a passionate obsession, and Penny who likes to doublecheck things.
07:40 PM – a performance of storytelling about struggling life by Shereen Saif.
07:50 PM – Hunar Miglani will perform a monologue “The Television Woman” by Alex Broun.
