“L’Atalante” Movie Screening

Cinema Akil invites French fans to the movie “L’Atalante” screening from August 28 to September 3.

Dubai-based independent Cinema Akil presents the French iconic romance movie “L’Atalante” screened with English subtitles, offering everyone an opportunity to see “one of the greatest films of all time”, which marked the transition from surrealism to the poetic realism of the French cinema.

Directed by Jean Vigo, the movie tells an idyllic story of love and hope. The plot takes viewers through a tale where a ship captain falls in love and marries a simple country girl. With the support of crusty first mate, cabin boy, and a gang of scrawny cats, our main heroes will be overcoming life challenges braving sea waters.
