In November 2011, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) officially designated April 30th as International Jazz Day in order to highlight jazz and its diplomatic role of uniting people from all corners of the globe.
The Fridge celebrates this day by welcoming a quartet of the most talented Jazz Artists in the region on 1st of May.
Armenian pianist & composer Samvel Gasparyan is joined on stage by the incredible Cuban Trumpet and flugelhorn player Tonatuit Isidron, the young Sri Lankan Bass sensation, Anthony Muthurajah & the experienced Irish drummer Satya Darcy. They will be performing a mixture of their original compositions and jazz standards.
If you’re feeling hungry, Yumtingz will be serving food in the avenue from 7:00pm!
