Haçienda Classiçal is a studio album produced by international DJ Graeme Park, record producer Mike Pickering and musical artist Tim Crooks. Their art is producing a mix of seminal house and club classics, combining old school classical music with modern electric tones. The Haçienda is associated with the rise of acid house and rave music.
This show is powerful for its electric atmosphere featuring the legendary club’s original DJ and the symphony orchestra Manchester Camerata. ‘A poignant, powerful performance that weaves together club classics with a live orchestra’ has included London’s Royal Albert Hall, Glastonbury Festival and more.
Initially, the Manchester Haçienda was a nightclub, one of the city’s most attractive venues for putting on a top club party out. Working with a 70-piece orchestra, the AMC Choir, and guest musicians, the project ‘remixed’ the likes of A Guy Called Gerald’s Voodoo Ray, Inner City’s Good Life, Black Box’s Ride On Time, Rhythim Is Rhythim’s Strings of Life, and Candi Staton’s You Got The Love – the last featuring new vocals from Rowetta.
