The Annual Art book fair, Focal Point will return with a new range of printed matter, both historical and academic, by established and independent publishers, artists, scholars, etc. This edition of Focal Point will be focusing on artist books, academic volumes, and journals from the MEASA (Middle East, Africa, South Asia) region. Live music performances and learning workshops for children will be held along with the book fair.
The entry is free and open to the public but pre-booking is encouraged. On-site booking is also available. To take part in workshops, registration needs to be done beforehand.
The UAE section will highlight a selection of catalogs, artist books and other published matter produced locally or by represented artists from across the world. The SAF Publications section will also present a number of new publications like the second edition of ‘Corniche’, an annual anthology of work by illustrators and comic artists based in the UAE etc.
There will be limited visitor capacity with enhanced disinfection and sanitization of the venue between slots. Masks and temperature check will be mandatory in adherence to COVID19 regulations.
