The First AUS International Theatre Festival will be held at the University’s Arts Building in Sharjah from 31st of January until 4th of February, 2017.
The festival will include shows, lectures, open acting workshops, playwriting and design events.
The different organizations will present shows such as “Invisible Cities” presented by Dubomedy, “Be. Longing.”presented by Michigan State University, “Hiraeth: Theatrical Journeys” presented by the AUS Performing Arts Program, Virtue Reality presented by Story-Makers Theatre Company.
The lectures will include The Film Audition Seminar, Theatre as Cultural Identity, The Rise of Women Dramatists in America, Cultural Identity and the Theatrical Impulse.
The admission for lectures, open acting workshops, playwriting and design events will be free and for shows the price for ticket starts from AED 25.
