The Emirates NBD Classics presents amazing artists Benjamin Schmid & Ariane Haering
Benjamin Schmid, a native of Vienna, won among others the 1992 Carl Flesch Competition in London, where he also won the Mozart, Beethoven and Audience Award.
The Swiss-born Pianist Ariane Haering started taking lessons at the age of six in her hometown of La Chaux-de-Fonds. Her major impulse for choosing the piano was led by an early wish to accompany her older sister Carole, a talented violinist. Her encounter with Bejamin Schmid has been by far the most inspiring and fertile , in more ways than one.
