The event will show the biggest watch brands in the world, such as limited edition region-specific models and never-before-seen timepieces. The five-day event brings together collectors and enthusiasts from around the world, as well as key brands and brand executives for an informative series of panel discussions, watchmaking workshops and more.
Dubai Watch Week offers not only watchmaking masterclasses but also affiliated arts, as hand painting, engraving and others. This year, the Horology Forum topic is “Innovation and Technology”, the two important elements in the modern watchmaking world.
This is the first time Rolex will participate at a watchmaking event in the Middle East, with an exhibition exploring the universe of the Oyster Perpetual Submariner. The exhibition will tell the story of how the divers’ watch was developed over the years. Visitors will also discover how the Submariner became an emblematic watch.
Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons are also organizing an exhibition that will feature some inimitable vintage Rolex timepieces. Established in 1950, the company is the region’s leading retailer of luxury watches & jewellery in the United Arab Emirates.
Christie’s will host an Auction room where some incredibly rare watches will be exhibited. Historians will have an opportunity to discuss the provenance of the timepieces. The Auction Room will also hold some masterclasses and evaluation room for those who want to have a favourite watch or two checked out.
