Dubai Culture & Arts Authority and the Art Dubai Group have launched #DubaiIDEATHON, an initiative that responds to the global difficulties in the creative and cultural sectors caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. To support the art sector, everybody can send ideas, that will be addressed and used to find new possibilities for artists and creators.
Across the world, the pandemic has caused a crisis in the creative industries that primarily consist of small businesses and the self-employed. This open call welcomes everyone from April 2 to 4 to submit proposals for overcoming these major challenges and discover new solutions for cultural and creative development.
From April 2 to 4, you can submit ideas and proposals for overcoming art challenges. On April 5, the groups are assigned and participants are sent workshop links. Next on April 7-8, there will be two sets of ideation sessions organized to choose the best from proposed solutions. And on Thursday 9, the last stage will include collating ideas and proposals into a final list to help devise implementation strategies.
