Born out of a deep reverence for the music of Dire Straits, DSL – Dire Straits Legacy reunites some of the original artists who defined the legendary sound of this British band, along with world-class musicians. The show is a tribute featuring Dire Straits’ greatest hits, new tracks from the Alan Clarke and Phil Palmer-produced 3 Chord Trick album, and a few surprises.
British rock icons Dire Straits have sold over 120 million albums worldwide. Today, DSL – Dire Straits Legacy revives their iconic music, performed by musicians who originally recorded and toured with Dire Straits more than three decades ago. Alan Clarke, the band’s founding keyboardist, Phil Palmer and Danny Cummings, who recorded “On Every Street”, Mel Collins, who played on singles such as “Love Over Gold” and “Twisting by the Pool”, all have extensive experience performing around the world with Dire Straits.
