Wust El Balad, formed in 1999, is a pioneering band in the Egyptian and Arab underground music scene. They have paved the road for alternative music in the region, fusing Middle Eastern sounds with western tunes.
Musicians successfully combine many genres in their works, including soft rock, world music, folk, jazz and blues, while creating their own unique musical style. Over the course of their careers, the group presented four successful albums – Wust El Balad in 2007, Rubabekya in 2011, Karakib in 2014, and Bantalony El Jeans in 2018.
