Camel Racing at Al Marmoom 2020

Al Marmoom Camel Racing returns for the next edition on February 12-13.

Camel Racing is a main component of the UAE heritage and culture, and the DCRC has set a clear and ambitious strategy to constantly raise awareness within the UAE community and abroad, about the core values and traditions drove from camel racing, whilst always seeking to develop and enrich.

An integral part of the UAE’s heritage, camel racing dates back centuries and is a must-see for residents and tourists in Dubai. The Racing Camels is one of that tradition and heritage sport, practiced by the forefathers and ancestors in the United Arab Emirates and other Arabian peninsula countries.

There will be a real competition as a group of approximately 60 camels race their way to the finish line. Each race counts between 4-6km long and it is expected to experience plenty of enthusiasm from the stands as the crowd cheers on their favorite camel.
