Now in its 124th season, the BBC Proms is a much-loved British tradition that aims to bring the best classical music to as wide an audience as possible. The event will be hosted by BBC Radio 3 presenter Petroc Trelawny who will lead the audience through the five concerts of the 2019 BBC Dubai Proms towards the Last Night of the Proms – Dubai style.
Alongside the main concerts of the BBC Dubai proms runs a wide-ranging programme of outreach and education activities including pre-concert talks, open rehearsals, chamber music coaching and a foyer performance with young musicians, masterclasses, a choral workshop with local Arabic school choirs and the creation of a new ensemble: the Dubai Opera Festival Chorus.
