A three-day event organized by the UAE Ministry of Culture & Youth, the second edition of Al Burda Festival welcomes global and regional cultural leaders for a program of in-person and virtual talks, performances, exhibitions, film screenings, and workshops celebrating Islamic creativity. The Festival will also host the 16th edition of the Al Burda Award, which recognizes creativity, innovation, and excellence in the practice of traditional Islamic disciplines.
Al Burda Festival, a biennial initiative launched in 2018 by the UAE Ministry of Culture & Youth, is a platform for engaging in cutting-edge dialogues around the present and future of Islamic arts and culture. A global space for creative leaders, scholars, artists, and community members to collaborate, exchange insights, and co-create ideas, Al Burda Festival introduces younger generations to the diversity of Islamic arts and culture, rethinks and reshapes narratives, and strengthens the position of Islamic culture on the global stage.
