About the Speakers:
Dr Cakil Agnew
Cakil has completed post graduate training in both social and organizational psychology and undertook post-doctoral research at the Industrial Psychology Research Centre in Aberdeen, Scotland prior to joining Heriot Watt University. Her research has focused around an area of organisational culture related to health and safety in the workplace. Cakil is particularly interested in the impact of safety culture and leadership on performance at work, mainly in high-risk industries. Her work on organizational safety culture and safety leadership has been mostly undertaken in the context of healthcare, transportation, energy generation, aviation and oil and gas industry.
Greg currently teaches a range of courses on the MSc Business Psychology including human factors, leadership and marketing psychology. He is also involved in supervision of Theses at both MSc and BSc level. Greg has been teaching elements of organizational, social and business psychology at various universities for over 10 years. He is a graduate of London School of Economics, Leicester University and the Open University, and has engaged in post-graduate research in the department of War Studies at King’s College, London. His current research interests include teaching and learning across cultures, and instructional design.
