Born on August 20, 1983, in Los Angeles and raised in Surrey, England, Garfield began his acting career on the British stage and television before transitioning to Hollywood. He first gained attention with his performance in the 2007 film Boy A, earning a BAFTA TV Award for Best Actor, which set the tone for his reputation as a deeply committed and emotionally intelligent performer.
Garfield’s global breakthrough came when he was cast as Peter Parker / Spider-Man in The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) and its 2014 sequel.
