Valid Residence Visa Holders will not be Able to Enter UAE - Coming Soon in UAE
19 March 2020

UAE suspends the entry of all valid residence visa holders who are currently outside the country. The order comes into force from 12:00 p.m. (noon) on March 19.

The ban is imposed for two weeks with the option to extend this period. The authorities will be guided by the development of the situation and make decisions according to the current state of affairs.

Such measures have been taken due to the rapid spread of coronavirus (Covid-19) throughout the world. In an attempt to stop the outbreak of the virus within the country and, in particular, the possibility of transferring it from abroad, the authorities impose such restrictions.

Those who find themselves in a difficult situation because of this rule and have remained outside the country or are unable to reunite with their family are invited to follow the recommendations of The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

– Those who are now in their countries of origin are advised to contact UAE diplomatic missions in their country. There they will receive all the necessary support and assistance in returning to UAE.

– Those who are outside UAE for business matters are encouraged to contact their employers in UAE, as well as UAE diplomatic missions in the country where they are located. There they will receive all the necessary support and assistance in returning to UAE.

– Those who are on vacation are advised to contact UAE diplomatic missions in the countries where they are located. There they will receive all the necessary support and assistance in returning to UAE.

The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) urges those affected by the decision to close the entry into UAE for holders of valid resident visas to contact its staff for advice and clarification.
