The UAE will Automatically Renew Work Permits and Residence Visas - Coming Soon in UAE
29 March 2020

Due to COVID-19, the UAE Ministry will renew residency visas and work permits automatically for labourers, domestic helpers.

As part of the UAE’s measures to stop the spread of COVID-19, the Ministry of Human Resources & Emiratisation and the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship announced automatic visa renewal.

The statement says that work permits and residence visas will be issued and renewed automatically for labourers employed by companies and support service staff such as domestic workers.

Under these new adjustments, labourers don’t need to take the medical examination across the country. The fees for such services will be collected through the authorized payment channels. Once the fees are paid, they can continue to remain legal residents of the UAE.
