29 April 2020

While all shops, malls, restaurants adapt to the new regulations, the National Disinfection Programme is still ongoing each night.

On April 24, UAE has issued instructions with a list of eased restrictions on the public movement. The permit is now required only for emergency-related reasons from 10:00 PM and 06:00 AM. A Dubai Police has confirmed that radar cameras across the UAE have been reset to watch individuals who are out during the disinfection programme.

Brigadier Saif Muhair Al Mazroui, director of the Traffic Department at Dubai Police, said that radars are controlled by systems adopting artificial intelligence and it can be adjusted based on the orders. All the radars have been adopted on all internal roads and highways to catch violators between 10:00 pm and 06:00 am.

There was fine applied for violators of the curfew during the National Disinfection Programme, which is AED 3,000. Individuals can also be fined AED 1,000 provided having more than three people in a vehicle at any time of the day.

Also, make sure to wear a mask correctly or you could face a fine of AED 1,000. At the same time, this fine will be applicable to those who don’t maintain the social distancing set out by the Ministry of Health and Prevention and the Ministry of Interior.
