Some events in UAE may be delayed due to preventive measures against coronavirus spread

Some events in UAE may be delayed due to preventive measures against coronavirus spread - Coming Soon in UAE
3 March 2020

Since December 2019 and throughout the first quarter of 2020, more and more attention is being given to the outbreak of coronavirus. Until recently, travels to UAE were considered safe, but as per recent discoveries of infection cases, many events involving mass crowds started to be either canceled or postponed for an indefinite period.

Information about which events have already been rescheduled is constantly changing. If you intend to purchase tickets for a concert, exhibition or other event, as well as to attend any free event, kindly contact the organizers in advance, or refer their official statements in the Social Networks. And even if the date of the event is confirmed, check with the most current information until the day of the actual event, as the decision can be made several days or even hours before.

We also remind you that often entrance tickets to events can remain valid in such cases. If you bought tickets, but the event was rescheduled, it is very likely that your tickets are valid and you will be able to attend the event during a more secure time. But these issues must be clarified with each organizer separately.

The official rescheduling of the dates of several popular events has already been reported. According to the official statement of the organizers, the Dubai International Boat Show will be held not on March 10-14, but on November 24-28, 2020. The Dubai Lynx Festival was delayed, instead of March 8-11, it will take place, presumably on September 6-9, 2020.

A popular event in the world of sports, the International Triathlon Union Abu Dhabi 2020 has been delayed indefinitely. In the same way as the professional exhibition Careers UAE 2020 and chess tournament Dubai Chess Open 2020. Also, the date of the actively attended cultural event – Creative Reader Competition, scheduled earlier for March, is not yet known.

Information on many events planned for the beginning of spring will appear closer to the time of their start. But even if the event that you want to attend does take place, be sure to carefully read the information from the organizers. They can arrange additional precautions when entering an event, such as measuring the temperature of the visitors or additional cleaning procedures.

Once again, we remind you that the organizers of each event make individual decisions and accurate information about the date and conditions of the event and the validity of entrance tickets comes only from them.

We wish everyone health and safety!
