7 June 2020

To ensure public safety, there have been put precautionary and preventive measures in all reopened destinations.

Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) is engaged in the phased reopening of main destinations. All-favorite spots have been prepared according to the UAE government’s health and safety protocols. Sharjah reopens its leisure, entertainment, and eco-tourism destinations adhering to the highest level of protection to guests and visitors.

Following venues are now reopened:
Al Qasba;
Al Majaz Waterfront;
Al Noor Island;
• The Flag Island;
• Heart of Sharjah;
• Mleiha Archaeological & Ecotourism Project;
• Khorfakkan Beach;
• Maraya Art Centre and 1971-Design Space.

In addition, Shurooq’s hospitality is also welcoming guests at The Chedi Al Bait, Sharjah and all three Sharjah Collection properties – Al Badayer Retreat, Al Faya Retreat and Kingfisher Retreat.

To keep social distancing protocols, there will be put visible markings and stickers helping visitors stick to the two-meter distance. All guests will have their temperature checked on arrival, and there will be a walk-through sanitization booth prior to entering the venue.

In order to provide safety, common areas will be regularly disinfected during operational hours and people are required to wearing masks or they won’t be allowed to enter. Visitors aged 12 and below, and seniors over 60 still will not be permitted to access these destinations until further notice.

All destinations have been prepared well before the reopening, and authorities have put safety and cleaning protocols including distant seating policies, sanitizing public spots such as door handles, railings and elevator buttons.
