Dubai officials have imposed some time limits for city leisure and entertainment activities.

Dubai restricts entertainment activities in the city, according to the new rules, all activities must conclude by 01:00 AM. It comes in response to a rising number in COVID-19 cases in the UAE over the past few weeks.

Lately, Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) has issued a circular for entertainment organizers to adhere to the measures to avoid such consequences as quarantine and lockdowns.

The circular implies:

  • hotel establishments,
  • venues,
  • events,
  • conferences,
  • organizers;
  • retailers.

It was stated that under the latest regulations, hotel establishments should suspend the provision of food and beverage services after 03:00 AM. The only exception to this is delivery and room services. Meantime, Dubai restaurants should limit the number of people in each group to 8 individuals per table and install temporary separators.

MoHAP issued a comprehensive list of protective measures for UAE residents and citizens that includes wearing a face mask at all times, social distancing, and strictly avoiding large-scale gatherings. While facilities should also have floor markings and signage that indicate social distancing. Not following these measures and restrictions can end up in facing penalties.
