The National Disinfection Program has been extended until April 25, during which time community members in Dubai are required permits to leave their homes.

The extension of all measures to combat the spread of coronavirus COVID-19 was announced by the Supreme Committee for Crisis and Disaster Management. The National Disinfection Program was launched throughout UAE on April 4. The program measures were considered effective in combating the spread of coronavirus and that is why a decision was made, based on an in-depth analysis of the current situation, to extend the current precautionary measures until April 25.

A number of measures include thorough sterilization of all public spaces and public transport. Also, restrictions were imposed on the movement of people and vehicles, all mass gatherings and the activity of most organizations, including restaurants, fitness clubs, cinemas, non-food stores, etc. are prohibited. Dubai residents should stay home and not leave it unless they need to buy medicine or food or fulfill any other basic needs. To leave home, they need to obtain permission.
