A number of restrictions has been eased in Dubai, including for the elderly and children.

Dubai Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management has tweeted that all economic activities can increase their capacity to 100 percent and at the same time there will be lifted restrictions on entry to shopping malls for people above 60 and children under 12.

The tweet stated, “Dubai’s Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management: Restrictions on entry to shopping malls for people above 60 and children under 12 to be lifted…”

Dubai Media Office also issued a message stating that the updated guidelines are “subject to compliance to precautionary measures including wearing face masks and maintaining social distancing.” Otherwise, violators will face fines for breaking precautionary measures.

The malls are required to provide extra cleaning and sanitation procedures to keep visitors and staff safe and maintain health measures. Visitors are encouraged to use smart payment methods (credit cards and debit cards), over cash. Malls will ensure temperature screening in the entry, and social distancing markers will be put in place.

Also, the Dubai Media Office confirmed that capacities in many sectors will be increased. The following facilities are allowed to work with 100 percent capacity:
• Swimming pools and all aquatic sports, and establishments;
• Private museums, cultural centers, art galleries, and public libraries;
• Water parks, pools, meeting rooms, and kid’s clubs at hotels;
• Home beauty services;
• Care facilities for the elderly and people of determination;
• Sports equipment and kid’s playground areas in public parks and beaches;
• Cinema 3D and 4D;
• Desert camps.
