Dubai Malls and Private Sector Return to Full Activity - Coming Soon in UAE
3 June 2020

Starting Wednesday, June 3, shopping malls and private sector enterprises in Dubai received permission to fully return to work. This means a 100% resumption of operation.

This is stated in the official message of the Dubai Media Office, published on social media on June 2. The decision was made by the Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management in accordance with the guidelines of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

The working hours for companies and the opening hours of shopping centers should be chosen between 06:00 AM and 11:00 PM, that is, within the time period when public movement is allowed.

At the same time, when resuming normal activities, companies should provide all preventive measures in order to protect the health of workers and customers. In particular, the principles of social distancing must be respected, disinfection carried out, etc.

Employees of those companies that begin their work must adhere to all requirements introduced in connection with the coronavirus. It is mandatory for everyone to wear masks, to maintain a distance between people of two meters, regular hand washing and hygiene procedures are also necessary.

Shopping centers will have to ensure frequent sterilization of all common areas, as well as the availability of disinfectants and checking the temperature of people at the entrance. All shopping centers should have a separate room to isolate suspicious cases, where those people who are suspected of having started the disease will be temporarily detained.
