Previously announced mandatory closure of all government centers for two weeks will be extended for another ten days until April 18.

This step, which is part of the total number of preventive measures to combat the spread of coronavirus COVID-19, was taken by the order of the Department of Economic Development in Dubai. Thus, the closure of government centers will last until the end of the National Disinfection Program, introduced everywhere in UAE.

Its reason was the maximum prevention of contacts between people during the quarantine period. Also, during the period of stopping the reception of visitors, various disinfection works and sanitization of premises and spaces will be carried out.

But those who need to use public services can do this. According to the official social media post, «Government services will continue to be easily available through the Smart channels.» In particular, those who need the services of governmental and non-governmental organizations can use the UAE Pass application, developed by Smart Dubai and the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority.
