UAE eases some travel regulations for residents, citizens, and tourists.

Dubai’s Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management has issued a new travel protocol “to ease procedures for passengers and exempt citizens from additional requirements without compromising on precautionary measures”.

Requirements for those who come to Dubai:

  • Citizens will not be required to take a PCR test in the country they’re in, prior to departure to Dubai. Citizens have to undergo a PCR test upon arrival to Dubai;
  • All residents and tourists are obliged to take a PCR test (within 96 hours) prior to flying to Dubai;
  • Transit passengers must take a PCR test prior to traveling from some countries, and when it is a requirement in the destination country.

*If you are a Dubai residence visa holder returning to Dubai, you are required to have approval from GDRFA. All other UAE residence visa holders do not have to apply.

Requirements for those who leave Dubai:

  • UAE residents, citizens, and visitors will now be required to take a COVID-19 PCR test prior to departure from Dubai provided the destination country requires a negative test certificate.

Those who need to undergo COVID-19 nasal swab test should turn to one of the governmental centers and hospitals across the UAE, including Mediclinic, Seha, Medeor Hospital, or LLH Hospital. Now, these medical facilities will provide tests only for AED 150.
